Rare, sprawling, tough evergreen Ceanothus with a mass of bright blue flowers in spring and small, holly-like leaves that create a wonderful dark mat of foliage for difficult slopes and as a native groundcover. Height to only 12″ but with an eventual spread of 10ft or more. Near the coast, where this species is found, plant in full sun; inland, select a site considerably shadier. Little to no water needed. Frost hardy to USDA zone 7 or lower.
