Acacia is a genus of shrubs and trees belonging to the subfamily Mimosoideae of the family Fabaceae. The Acacia Davyi or Cork Thorn Tree grows up to 5 metres. It is a very hardy tree and is grown extensively in the Northern parts of South Africa. It does very well without tending and thrives in the dryer lowveld areas. It makes a very good bonsai specimen and is quick growing. USDA Zone – 8 Season to Sow – Spring
