A truly gorgeous find with many double-flowered, peony-like blooms borne on strong and tall stems during late spring. Plant in the border or add to large pots and containers.

Tulips
Its easy to see why tulips are the most popular of all autumn planting bulbs. Such a huge range of varieties and types and so easy to grow, they provide lots of colour with the minimum of effort. Long flowering too, with some varieties blooming in March and others into early June and of course theyre brilliant for cut flowers. If your soil is on the heavy side then a handful of grit or sharp sand added to the bottom of the planting hole will help.
