Attractive, deciduous fruiting tree, 10-15 ft tall, with fragrant white flowers that attract butterflies and bees. The black cherries that follow are welcome candy for local songbirds. All parts of this plant (except the flesh of the fruit) are HIGHLY TOXIC to humans, including seeds, leaves and bark. Full sun, well-drained soil and occasional summer water. Hardy to USDA zone 5.
