Growing Instructions:

Leeks are a long season plant, so start seed indoors in late February and early March. Sow seeds 7mm (1/4in) deep in a soil-less medium and keep at 20C (68F) during germination and growth. Transplant seedlings outside later in the Spring when they are around 20cm (8in) tall. Space the plants 10-15cm (4-6in) apart in rows 30-45cm (12-18in) apart. Leeks typically mature in August and can be left in the ground for an extended time after they reach maturity as a way of increasing harvest time.
