This collection from friend Pat McCracken from high elevation Ecuador appears a humble Cleome at first glance; but oh no!.. A semi-woody creature to 6ft to 8ft with fragrant er.. odiferous leaves and spidery green summer flowers adorned with red anthers. Evergreen into the upper 20s F. re-sprouting from the base into the bottom of zone 8. Excellent container plant otherwise. Full sun to part shade, regular summer water. Especially well suited to coastal conditions.
