Physalis ixocarpa

These tomatillos are sweeter than their green counterparts, and can be eaten fresh off the plant as a delicious fruity snack. Plants are 30cm tall and bushy. They are also easy to cook, either steamed or boiled and are a key ingredient in many salsas or chutneys.
