Gardener’s Notes: Sow directly outdoors in spring after the last frost. Scatter seed over loose, fertile, well-drained soil. Rake area to bury seed 1/4 inch deep. Keep moist. Thin plants as they grow to avoid crowding. Pull weeds as they appear. For longer lasting bouquets, cut flowers early in the morning when blossoms first open. Use clean, sharp scissors to cut the stems. Put into fresh water immediately.
