White flowered rock rose, with long narrow leaves and flowers over a long season in spring. This has been a particularly vigorous cistus for us, filling its allotted space, to 4 ft x 4 ft, within a season or two. After the second year, we shear it back about 1/3 to maintain compactness, making sure it’s still in green wood. Reflowers in fall but the main show is April, May, and June. This is a tough-love plant needing bright light, minimal summer moisture, and lean, minerally soil. Frost hardy to 10F, USDA zone 8.
