Old fashioned introduction from Japan of this ever-so-useful Camellia with 2″, shiny green leaves and rose buds opening to silver-white edged pale pink with a large boss of yellow stamens. For us the show begins in mid-November and continues into March. The flowers have particularly pleasant sweet, earthy fragrance. Wonderful plant to espalier as it grows easily to 4-6ft and has pleasing horizontal branch structure. Frost hardy to USDA zone 8.
